February 19-21: Winterfest 2016 @ Levis Commons & Downtown Perrysburg

Ice carvings will be on display throughout the weekend for the U.S. National Ice Carving Championships. There will also be a variety of children’s activities in downtown Perrysburg and Levis Commons. From crafts and princess appearances to story times and scavenger hunts, there will be no shortage of fun for the entire family.

Now through February 28: The Rise of Sneaker Culture @ Toledo Museum of Art

The Rise of Sneaker Culture explores the athletic shoe from its origins in the mid-1800s to its current place in high-fashion. This traveling exhibition, organized by the American Federation of Arts and the Bata Shoe Museum, Toronto, is the first exhibition in the United States to present a comprehensive survey of the sneaker’s complex design, history, and immense cultural significance.

Spend the day watching your favorite zoo animals receive some great treats, and see how the zoo shares the love on this very special day. Zoo animals will explore their exhibits and find Valentine-themed treats.

February 20: Skippyjon Jones Snow What @ Valentine Theatre

Mirror, mirror on the wall, who is the bravest Chihuahua of them all? Skippyjon Jones the Siamese cat who thinks he’s a Mexican Chihuahua of course! A brand new musical based on the book by Judy Schachner, Skippyjon Jones Snow What is a twist on the classic fairytale Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.

February 20: Winter Fest @ Olander Park

Join us as we embrace all that winter has to offer! Snowman building, ice skating, curling and broomball will all take place on Lake Olander and throughout Olander Park. Warm up inside with hot chocolate, crafts, storytelling, live music and a Chili Cook Off! All a great way to spend a wintry day in Sylvania!
