Happy Birthday to our favorite Walleye...Spike! Join the Toledo Walleye during Winterfest on Sunday, January 3rd to celebrate Spike's birthday with all of his mascot friends! The party will include cake, ice cream and photo opportunities with Spike and friends! Continue the fun after the game during Open Skate! January 1-3: North Pole Express @ NW Ohio Railroad Preservation

An annual event, the Northwest Ohio Railroad Preservation hosts the North Pole Express, a festive train ride straight to the North Pole!

January 2: FREE Youth Skating Day @ Ottawa Park


Once again, Councilman Riley is sponsoring a free 'Youth Day' at the Ice Rink for kids under 16. Don't know how to ice skate? No problem. Instructors will be there to provide training and skates. Snacks available also. So bring all the kids and have a great time!

January 2: Toledo Walleye's Superhero vs. Villain Night @ Huntington Center

It’s going to be a super evening at the Huntington Center, as the Walleye are teaming up with iHeartRadio to host Superhero and Villain Night on Saturday, January 2. There will be superhero sightings all night long, face painters, a superhero photo booth and much more fun! Fans are encouraged to dress up as their favorite superhero (or villain) that night.

January 8-9: Professional Bull Riders @ Huntington Center

Riders attempt to stay on a bucking bull for eight seconds! The top 15 riders compete in the "short go" and the rider with the highest point total from the entire event becomes the winner.

January 10: Preschool & Activity Fair @ McCord Road Christian Church

FREE and open to the public! Come and talk to representatives from area preschools, including ones from Toledo, Sylvania, Maumee and Perrysburg. Other local groups will offer children's activities and crafts as well!

January 23: Goodnight Moon & The Runaway Bunny @ Valentine Theatre


Adapted from Margaret Wise Brown’s 60-year-old classic, Goodnight Moon is a celebration of familiar nighttime rituals, while The Runaway Bunny’s pretend tale of leaving home evokes reassuring responses from his loving mum.

January 24: Super Why! @ Valentine Theatre


PBS Kids’ Super Why! teaches kids the fun and excitement of reading. Your kids will enjoy this high energy and interactive fusion of music and words.
